Quantitative Preparation

Quantitative skills are important to your success in the Georgetown McDonough MBA curriculum. To help ensure you have an adequate foundation in statistics, economics, accounting, finance, and Excel, we provide access to customized online preparatory material to incoming students.

We have chosen the convenient learning platform Smartly, which will work on your smartphone, tablet, or desktop. As of February and after you have submitted your deposit, you will be able to use your Georgetown University NetID email to log in to the customized Georgetown MBA Smartly system and access courses.

Required Coursework – Due by July 23, 2024

Access these courses via Smartly. We estimate you will spend at least eight to 10 hours working through this material, depending on your level of familiarity with the subject matter.

We encourage you to begin these courses as soon as you can. Because you will be able to access them through December 2024, you also can refer back to refresh concepts as needed throughout the summer and after you have begun our rigorous MBA curriculum.

Optional Coursework

In addition to the 10 required courses, the following courses are optional for you to access in Smartly.

You also may wish to explore additional quantitative instruction or practice in these subject areas to strengthen your background prior to beginning the Georgetown MBA.
