Maureen Cleary | Assistant Dean | Financial Services, Real Estate, and Hospitality Industries

Maureen leads relationship building with employers and MBA students interested in financial services, real estate, and hospitality. Maureen joined the Georgetown McDonough Career Center from the NYU Stern Office of Career Development, where she was the director of relationship management, responsible for creating and expanding opportunities for Stern students by building strategic partnerships with diverse organizations.

Prior to joining Stern, Maureen was a vice president in operations at Credit Suisse Securities and Goldman, Sachs & Company where she specialized in oversight of core control functions, business process improvement, campus recruitment, project management, and staff development. Maureen received an MBA in finance from the Wharton School of Business and a B.A. in economics from Georgetown University.

Eric Young | Assistant Dean | Technology, Media, Entertainment & Sports, and Venture Capital Industries and Entrepreneurship

Eric leads relationship building with employers and MBA students interested in the technology, media, entertainment, sports, and venture capital industries. He also coaches MBA students interested in entrepreneurship. Eric joined the Georgetown McDonough Career Center following a 20-year international career at Accenture, where he began as a technology consultant and served in various human resources roles across the United States, India, and Canada.


Eric holds a B.A. in economics from the University of Maryland, an M.A. in organizational management from The George Washington University, and a certificate in corporate leadership from Georgetown University.

Lawrence Verbiest | Director | Consulting Industry

Lawrence leads relationship building with employers and MBA students interested in consulting. He began his consulting career with Booz Allen Hamilton after a 22-year career as an officer in the U.S. Army. At Booz Allen, he supported clients in the healthcare and human capital markets, and led interdisciplinary teams of consultants on eight distinct contracts or task orders with a total award value of $33M during the period of 2008 to 2013. He also was very involved with employee recruiting.

Lawrence holds a B.S. from the United States Military Academy, an M.A. in international policy studies from Stanford University, and an MPA from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. He also completed a change management certification program at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and is a Project Management Professional (PMP).

Trudy McCrea | Associate Director | Marketing, Consumer Products & Goods, Healthcare, and Manufacturing & Transportation Industries

Trudy advises MBA students interested in the marketing and sales function and leads relationships with employers and students interested in consumer products, retail/e-commerce, healthcare and manufacturing/transportation.

Trudy joined the Georgetown McDonough Career Center following a 25-year career with IBM, Microsoft, a few small companies, and one startup where she was an entrepreneur. She began working in manufacturing and research at IBM, moved to increasingly responsible sales and marketing roles, and recently led sales enablement programs for IBM US, Latin America and Canada. Over her career, she served clients in many industries, including consumer products, healthcare, manufacturing, energy, transportation, government and technology.

Trudy holds a B.S. in Facilities Planning from Pennsylvania State University and an MBA in Marketing from the University of Connecticut, as well as credentials from IBM’s Advanced Sales Coaching program and the Co-Active Training Institute.

Asha Noor | Associate Director | Social Impact/ Non-profits, Education, Energy & CleanTech, Government, and International Development Industries

Asha leads employer relations and MBA student coaching in the social impact, education, energy/cleantech, government and international development sectors. Prior to coming to McDonough, Asha was the Coordinating Director for Communities United for Status and Protection (CUSP), a national collaborative of grassroots immigrant-led organizations. Noor also served as the Program and Outreach Director at CAIR-MI, a Civil Rights organization where she oversaw the implementation of inclusive policies at university campuses, as well as other sectors. Asha also served as the Advocacy and Civic Engagement Specialist at The Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services (ACCESS).

Asha is also the recipient of several prestigious awards, including the KBK Humanitarian Award, Martin Luther King Jr. Unsung Hero Award, and Michigan Coalition for Human Rights Community Advocate Award. Noor earned her MS in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from George Mason University, and her B.A in political science from Michigan State University.

Sarah Swygard | Associate Director | Consulting, Venture Capital, and Entrepreneurship

Sarah leads relationship building with employers and MBA students interested in consulting, venture capital, and entrepreneurship.

Sarah joined the Georgetown McDonough Career Center after 6 years as a Strategy Consultant at Deloitte Consulting LLP, where she led and managed projects with senior government leaders in immigration, health, and defense. Her work ranged across business sectors to include strategy, technology pilots, finance, organization design, process development, and policy. She also volunteered with the Deloitte Strategy recruiting teams, and coached over 50 staff through promotions and career changes. Before graduate school, Sarah worked in undergraduate admissions and as a collegiate speech and debate coach.

Sarah holds a Masters in Leadership and Public Policy from the University of Virginia and a B.A. in English.
