Systems and Support

As MBA students, there are two sources of technology available for your use: University Information Systems (UIS) for campus-wide systems and McDonough School of Business (MSB) for our internal systems. Your login for both systems is your Student ID (Net ID). You will receive a temporary password for each with instructions on how to set a permanent password.

University Information Systems (UIS)

UIS manages the campus-wide technology resources available to all Georgetown University students. These resources include PaperCut (University-Wide Printing), Canvas (where you access and view course materials), GU Experience (where you view course schedules, tuition bills, personal contact information, and health insurance enrollment), GU Google Mail (the university e-mail system), and SaxaNet (Georgetown’s secure wireless network). If you have not yet done so, you should change your temporary password to a permanent one as you will need your NetID credentials to access any of these resources.

McDonough School of Business (MSB)

The McDonough School of Business has an internal system for room reservations (EMS), and submission of help requests to the Technology Center. You will also have a login to Engage, which houses all of our policies, calendars, forms, and other helpful MBA information.

The McDonough School of Business Technology Center (MSBTC) has a team of staff and students dedicated to serving the IT needs of the McDonough community of students, faculty, and staff. A walk-up help window is available on the first floor of the Hariri Building, and the MSBTC offers information specific to business school students at http://technology.msb.edu.

Hariri Building Technology

The Rafik B. Hariri Building supports technology modeled from a progressive corporate environment. Services include Bloomberg terminals, wireless networking, wireless printing, multiple conferencing services, and projection capabilities in all breakout rooms. These services are designed to provide additional academic and career-related support for students within the MBA program.
