Your Checklist
The MBA program starts well before classes begin! Review the checklist below – and check back regularly – for key deliverables that we’ll need you to complete before Opening Term starts on August 4, 2025. This list also indicates when important program information will be announced. Please note that dates may be subject to change pending approval of altered academic policies and other factors.
After Receiving Decision Letter
Submit your deposit(s) by the deposit deadline(s) indicated in your decision letter.
Submit the Incoming Student Survey with submitting your initial deposit.
Join the Admitted Student LinkedIn and WhatsApp groups to connect with your future classmates.
Sign up for multiple one-on-one chats with current MBA student club leaders.
Claim your NetID then access your Georgetown email. (An email regarding your NetID will be sent to you within two weeks of admission. Here is a short video on how to locate your NetID.)
Send all official test scores and transcripts to the Georgetown MBA Admissions Office by your Official Document Submission Period.
Mark your calendar with important dates outlined in the Academic Calendar (dates are subject to change).
After Submitting Initial Deposit
Begin your required quantitative preparation courses (available in February, due July 22). Plan on spending at least 8-10 hours working through the material.
Review the course waiver and transfer credit request form to test out of certain courses or to receive credit for previously completed courses (due July 16).
Complete your required McDonough Foundations (shared by the Program Office in early July, due July 28). Plan on spending at least 1-1.5 hours working through the video series.
Begin your MBA Career Center Job Search Course and complete the Summer Career Course.

Mid-July – Announcement of Program Advisors, class cohort assignments, and student schedules
July 16 – Deadline to submit course waiver and transfer credit request forms
July 22 – Complete all MBA quantitative preparation
July 28-August 1 – Sit for approved waiver exams
July 29 – Attend Flex MBA Online Orientation (evening)*
July 28 – Complete the McDonough Foundations series shared by the Program Office
July 29 – International Student Orientation*
July 29 – Attend Flex Orientation (evening)*
July 30-August 1 – Attend Full-time Orientation
July 30 – Attend Flex MBA Online Social led by MBA Program Ambassador Students (evening)*
August
August 1 – Deadline to submit Immunization information
August 2 – Attend Full-time and Flex Service Day*
August 4 – Begin Opening Term
August 22 – Opening Term ends
August 22 – Tuition payment due on GU Experience
August 27 – Attend First Day of Fall Classes and Module 1 Classes
Aug 28: Student Organization Fair (On-Campus, 5-6:30 pm ET)
Aug 29: Student Organization Virtual Fair (Virtual, 12-1 pm ET)
